Hello Scallop Edged Card

Hey crafty friends,
So glad you stopped in today! It's another Terrific Tuesday and I am sharing over on the Cottage Cutz blog. I am sharing this fun, easy "Hello" card. Take a look.
I made this cute and easy card. It is a side folding A2 card.

To make the scalloped edge of the top layer, I scored a line 1" from the edge. I then put the slime line scalloped die in such a way, that the top edge will cut the scallop and the bottom edge is underneath the cardstock.

Here is a closer look at the scored line. I then just but the scallop edge of the slimline die up to the scored line. I then sent it through my die cut machine and it left a really nice scalloped edge.

Here's a closer look at the super cute bicycle die cut. I layered the bike on top of an oval, double stitched mat cut from some bright yellow patterned paper and then layered all of that onto an oval scallop layer with white cardstock.

Here's a closer look at the "hello" sentiment and the hearts. You can also see the stitched scallop edge from the slimline die. I used some blue/teal striped paper for the inside of the card.

Here is one last look at my completed card. I colored the hearts with my markers. I also used some fun striped paper for the inside mat layer.

Love You Card

Hey crafty friends,
Happy New Year! I hope 2024 will be a GREAT year for you. Here is my first project share for 2024!

I started by die cutting the sweet little Jolly Reindeer w sled die cut pieces in...you guessed it. White cardstock. I then colored my pieces in. I also cut the hearts out of the slimeline die and colored those in as well.  I then cut out a scalloped oval mat from some white paper. I sliced it in half.
In this above photo off to the right, you can also see where I used one of the cute little bow die cut pieces from the little Reindeer w Sled die cut and cut off the long strand or piece from the little bow. It was one of the pieces of the present, but I used it for the little reindeer's collar. I didn't use the bell because I thought it was a little to "christmasy".

I then created a pink paper mat for my double stitched mat that I was going to be using. Here is a pic of the pink mat.

I attached the two halves of the scalloped white oval to the bottom of the pink mat. You can also see in the photo that I lightly inked the edges with my blue ink.

Here is a view of the attached scalloped die pieces from the back of the pink mat.

Here is a shot of the pink mat with my little "snow mounds" once it was attached to my double stitched rectangle mat. It is always so satisfying to use your die cuts in unconventional ways. It makes you feel like you are getting a little more mileage out of your tools and save a few pennies by not having to by absolutely every crafty tool out there...lol!

Here is a close up of the sweet little reindeer and his sled loaded down with a ton o' love (hearts) to give. I finished off my card by adding the Love You die sentiment to the bottom. I used some cute Doodlebug patterned paper for the background mat.  My finised card is an A2 size, top folding with a "landscape" size.

Strawberries in Tub

Welcome CottageCutz friends!

Kris here with a sweet card that is very easy to recreate using our Black Friday Release.  The individual dies are 30% off!!

Dies I used:

Design Steps:

I die cut and colored my elements as shown above. I added some gold accents to the seeds on my strawberries.

My card base is cut from Pretty Peacock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2".  I then glued my Trellis background onto card front.

I die cut the largest Scalloped Oval from Poppy Parade and from vellum.  I then die cut the largest Stitched Oval inside of the red oval to make a frame and glued it on top of the vellum oval, then onto card front, as shown.

I added my strawberries in the tub to the middle of my oval with foam dots, then added the "thank you" sentiment to tub.

For the inside, I die cut the largest Stitched Rectangle from white and the large strawberry from the Sentiment, Thank You Berry Much die.

I taped the white panel to the inside center and offset the strawberry as shown.

Here's the front again.

Fall Floral Card

Happy Terrific Tuesday crafty friends!
I hope you are doing well and staying cool! Here in the south, in the United States, it has been very hot! Plus our schools are now back in session, so the hustle and bustle is in full swing! It is hard to be thinking about the fall season already but alas, as crafters, you always want to be a bit ahead of the season! So here is a lovely card I created with a wonderful fall theme.
Melinda Beltran Fall Die Cut Card
I created this top folding A4 card with a festive fall theme. I used a Christmas die called Christmas Farmhouse Floral as my main focal piece. I did use the flowers from the Deer Floral Spray die instead of the Poinsettia's that come with the Christmas Farmhouse Floral die. I started by cutting all my die cut pieces from White cardstock.

I started by takin the white can and dressing it up. First I splattered my can with some gray ink. It gave the can a nice speckled look.

Next, I blotted some gray onto the can with my finer paint bruch. This gave the can the appearance of an authentic milk can.

I then turned to my leafy branches. I had cut several out in Kraft cardstock. I set about coloring in the leaves with some vibrant fall colors.

Here's a photo as I am coloring the stems a darker brown,.

here is a closer look at the cute flowers that I used. They are so very cute.

here is another view of my completed card. Once I finished creating and coloring all my pieces, I assembled my can onto a double stitched oval cut from some Kraft cardstock. I layered all that onto a scalloped oval die cut from some white cardstock. For the sentiment, I used a double stitched rectangle and then a scalloped white rectangle. I hand wrote For You with a brown fine tip marker. I used a little foam tape to give it some lift and adhere it and then added all that to a base of Kraft cardstock with a piece of patterned paper for a mat.
