Easy Reindeer and Snowman Christmas Card

Happy TuesDIE Cottage Cutz Friends!
Melinda here with you on this terrific Tuesday. Today I am sharing a fun and very easy card I created featuring dies that are part of the new Christmas Part 1 Release.

Here's a look at my completed card.
It is a standard A4 Top Folding card. It is so easy to make, you could easily mass produce these.

I started out with all my die cuts cut from white cardstock. This is hands down my favorite technique. I guess I like to do this because I find coloring so therapeutic. While I don't have any coloring books, coloring in these die cuts is a great alternative.

Here is a shot where I am adding some chalking details to the snowman. It gives it a nice shading effect without having to bust out the markers.

Here is a closer look at the super cute snowman and reindeer. I added them to a pierced circle die that I cut from some patterned paper. I then added all of that to a scalloped circle die cut from some basic white cardstock. In this closeup you can also see the white paint that I used for the snow as well as for the snowman's cap.

Here is a closer look at the sentiment. I cut it from the Merry Christmas tree die . I added it to two layers of patterned paper to create a border.

Easy Christmas Easel Card

Happy SunDIE Cottage Cutz Friends!
Melinda here with you on this Sweet Sunday. Today I am sharing a fun and very easy easel card I created featuring dies that are part of the new Christmas Part 1 Release.

Here's a look at my completed card.
It is a horizontal top folded A4 card base. I made it into a quick and easy easel card. This is a view of the card when open.

Here is a view of the card when closed.

I started by making a rosette. I cut two pieces of 1.5" x 12" of patterned paper. I then scored them length wise in .5" increments.
I then fan folded them and then joined them together. I then glued the two ends together to make it circular. I then finished creating the rosette.

I then attached the rosette to the second largest scalloped circle die in white cardstock.

I then added a patterned paper mat onto a piece of 4.25 x 5.5 inch white cardstock base.

I then added the cute christmas tree die onto the top of the rosette. I added some cute dew drops to the tree. I used a piece of patterned paper and some ribbon to create a border along the bottom of the card face. Once it was done, I added it to the base of the card. I did this by adhering the top mat to the bottom half of the top base only. Do not glue the mat to the top half or anywhere above the fold.

I then cut a piece of patterned paper and mounted to some white cardstock. I used some foam tape to give it some lift. I then used the Merry and Christmas from the tree die. This serves as a stopper for when the card is opened.

Here is one last look at the card. I think it turned out so pretty.

Yummy Birthday!

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is our Sweet Treats release!  There are 13 different designs and everyone of them can be used for a variety of occasions especially Birthdays!! The Bundle is currently on sale for 50% off!! And the individual dies are 30% off.  These sale prices won't last long so click HERE to hop on over to the store!

Today, I am using the Ice Cream Sundae die.  I used it as a birthday cupcake instead of ice cream.  Just and example of how you can use these dies in so many different ways!!  Be creative!!

Design Steps:

1.  Use an A2 White card base, a piece of dark red card stock 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, Strawberry DP 4 x 3 1/2, Green polka dot DP 4 x 2 1/4 and a white lace border

2.  Glue the green polka dot DP to the bottom of the dark red card stock.  Glue the strawberry DP to the top of the dark red card stock.  Add the lace border between the two pieces of DP as shown above
3.  Use the Scalloped Circle die second from the largest and cut out a white circle.  Use the Ice Cream Sundae die and cut out the pieces using pink, white, dark red, and green polka dot DP.  Shade the pieces with a number of different ink colors and assemble with a fine tip glue
4.  Glue the dark red panel to the front of the white card base.  Glue down the white circle slightly off center as shown above
5.  Pop up the cupcake on the white circle.  Stamp your sentiment and layer onto dark red card stock then pop it up at an angle.  Add a small strip of strawberry DP 1/2 x 4 near bottom of the card as shown above and your card is complete

Happy Birthday Crocodile Card

Happy Terrific TuesDIE Scrapping Cottage friends!
Melinda here with you for another fun Tuesday. My project today features some dies from the fabulous new Australian Friends Die Release!!! Here is what I created.

This super cute scalloped stitched rectangle shaped birthday card featuring that Croc-o-licious Croc from the new release! She is too cute!

To Make The Card Base

You start with two cuts of the same die. For this one I used the largest die from the scallop stitched rectangle die set. I cut them out of some craft cardstock.

Next, I scored a crease 1/2" from one edge.

I added a mat to the one that would be on the top. Here you can see where the crease is on the one.

Next you put adhesive just on the top 1/2" of the scored mat. Then you line them up, one right on top of the other and adhere them together.

Once adhered, this is what it looks like when opened from the side view.

You can then decorate the interior just making allowance for the portion of the top that is used for the fold. Doing it this way allows for a fold without creasing the top mat.

Next, I used the largest die from the scallop circle set and cut it out of some pink cardstock. I added a couple of mats. In this shot I had a different piece of patterned paper. I ultimately changed it out as it blended to much to miss croc...in my humble opinion...lol.

Here she is all ready for her close up! What an adorable die! I of course cut her out in white and then colored her in. My favorite thing to do. She is just too stinkin' cute with those little teeth and that flower!!!!

For the sentiment, I used the Shadow Happy Birthday Die. I added a dot of Star Dust Stickles for the Dot in the "i".

I also layered in the cute little palm tree from the Australian Trees die from the new release. I added some more Stardust Stickles and some Cinnamon to kind of resemble some coconuts.

Here a couple more shots.

I think it turned out super cute. This is such a fun way to add a little "shape" to your cards without really any effort at all! You can try it with your oval, circle, heart and other fun shaped dies!

Here is the fantastic new collection
