Hogs and Kisses

Hi, Lois here again with a fun Valentine card for you.  CottageCutz has some new die sets, only this time they come with matching stamps!    As I love to color, you know I am loving these new sets.  I made a funky Valentine card using the set called Farm Animals.

Supplies used on this card are:

Cardstock - Recollections Red, White, Pink
Patterned Paper - Martha Stewart's Key & Heart pad
Ink - Versafine Black, Memento Red
CottageCutz sets - Farm Animals, Happy Valentine's Day Phrase,  Sweet Love BordersSweetheart Doilies
Other - foam pop dots, Copic markers, Scor-Tape adhesive sheet

I found a layout I liked and went to work.  First I stamped and colored the pigs.

Then I cut them out.

The Valentine collection has a nice sentiment, a row of hearts, and some doilies that would work well with my chosen layout.  I backed both the red and pink cardstock with an adhesive sheet to make it easier to attach the sentiment and heart border to my card.

Now I was ready to construct my card.  I glued the patterned paper at the top of a white panel, laid down the sentiment and the heart border and adhered the panel to a red card base.   After gluing down the layered doilies, I added the pigs (popped up with foam pop-dots) and stamped a little heart between them.  I then stamped the "Hogs and Kisses" sentiment at the bottom and added the red die-cut heart (which actually came out of the sentiment) -- and I was finished.

Puppy with Heart

Hello everyone!

It's Donna here with to share with you another Valentine card. There are 14 new released Valentine dies that have just been released, if you have not seen them, go over to the store and check them out. Also, check out the CottageCutz blog to see the beautiful designs from the new release that the design team has created.  Oh and did I mention, they are 25% off right now!

I am using the Puppy with Heart 4x4 die, isn't he adorable and so easy to assemble. See below on how I put my card together.

Here is how I put my card together:
1.  My card is an A2 card (41/4 x 5 1/2),
2.  The next layer is 4 x 5 1/4,
3.  The square layer is the CottageCutz Double Stitched die, the largest one, then I cut the layer out 1/8 larger,
4.  The layers at the bottom are 4 1/4 x 7/8 and then a 1/8 smaller,
5.  I cut all the elements from the Puppy with Heart and inked the edges,

6.  I assembled the dog with glue and popped her up in the center of the card with pop dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by, please come back again soon.

Typewriter Love

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog. It's a cold Saturday here in the Eastern part of the U.S. One of those days to sip some hot chocolate and do some crafting.

I am featuring one of our new Valentine dies today. This one is the Typewriter die and is currently on sale at 25% off. In fact all 14 new Valentine dies are 25% off. So drop over to the store and pick out what you need to make your Valentine cards and save a little money while your at it!

I jump started my mojo this week by using a sketch to get my creative juices flowing. So here are the details on how I created my card.

Blue Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Embossed Layer: 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
Image Panel: 3 3/8" x 2 3/4"
Red Layering Panel: 3 1/2" x 2 7/8"

The sketch that I followed is an older one but it worked perfectly to show my image off.
I decided to emboss my background panel but didn't want to use a heart embossing folder. So I settled for an arrows folder. I thought it added a unique appeal to my card.
Next step was to cut the elements of the typewriter die. I cut this vintage image in a coastal blue cardstock. I love the modern appeal the typewriter has using this shade of blue. The accents are in gray. The little heart on the keyboard is so sweet. This is just the cutest die. I am sure all of you have someone in mind that this image would perfect for this Valentine's day.
I cut three pennant flags with a red dotted paper. Scattered some additional red hearts to balance out the image panel. I cut these from the Love Bird Branch die. After I assembled my card I decided I didn't like the "sweet" word cut in pink. Not a problem. I cut another one in red and glued it over top. Here are some close up photos. You can see the detail on this die.

That completes my card for this week. I hope I have inspired you to start your Valentine cards. And, remember The Scrapping Cottage is making it a bit easier by offering a 25% off sale on the new dies.

So until next time..........inky hugs!!!!

MY HEART IS FOR YOU

HELLO,

This is Anita here with fabulous new release from the CottageCutz . Valentine's Day is just a month away and we are all set to welcome the season of love!!!
The Valentine New Release is so awesome that you will  fall in love with them. We  also have loads of new products coming up. You can check the whole collection here. There is also the New Stamp and Die collection and these are just adorable. You can check them here.

I have used many new dies to create my Valentine's Day card. I loved the Fancy Heart die and have created a panel of three hearts on my card.

This is a very simple card, but looks very dressy because of the layers of die cuts.

Even the back of the card has been decorated . The front panel is scored on the score board to give some texture.

I have added a pattern paper to the inside panel.

I hope you liked the card. I will be bring many more inspirations in the coming days featuring the new release dies and stamps. So stay tuned.
