Vintage Clock and Cosmetic set for Christmas

Hello everyone, Vladka here!

I like to look beyond the obvious and I just wanted to try to use these Vintage dies for Christmas project. So I made a card with a pocket and a gift bag.

This great vintage clock shows midnight. Christmas night is here. People are in church and you can hear Silent night in the background.

I like to wrap all Christmas gifts and make a little or big packages, but I never try to make a gift bag before. So, this was a great opportunity. Girls like if they get some cosmetic stuff, so why don’t give a little hint what is hidden inside the bag. For this, I used Cosmetic set.

Vintage release really gives you a lot of possibilities and dies are perfect for vintage projects, but with a little imagination, they can be used for every occasion.  Try it and enjoy it!

CottageCutz Vintage Mini Tussy Mussy

Hello everyone, today I wanted to share My Vintage Mini Toilet Paper Tussy Mussy that I made. Carol was the Inspiration for these Toilet Paper Tussy Mussy's :) Thank You CAROL!!!!

On this one, I used CottageCutz "Fancy Perfume Bottles" from the Vintage Release. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this RELEASE!!!!

I wanted a vintage look to my Tussy Mussy, so I went with Vintage Laces, and ruffles, and Vintage Seam Binding, all from my stash. Then I picked a dp that I thought could be vintage looking, and went off of those colors for my perfume bottle.

The CottageCutz Perfume Bottle is cut out with a design paper, then distress with brushed Corduroy ink. Next I cut the hose and top pieces all with cream card stock and distressed it with tea dye. The bulb is airbrushed with copic YR61 and then distressed with old paper. My flowers were colored with copics R32, YR61 , for the greenery on the bottle I used YG95 & G99 copic markers.

The Lace I used on the bottom ,top, and handle are very very old. The ruffled behind the bow, Im not sure how old that is. I also used Really Reasonable Ribbon Brown Antique Gold Ribbon for my bow. Now behind the hearts is a peach seam binding, I just ruched it up. Lastly I added a string of pearls to the bottom :)

If you havent seen the NEW CottageCutz Releases you will have to take a moment and stop by The Scrapping Cottage Store HERE :)

Hidden Pocket Card

Hello Everyone!  Sorry for the late post.  I am so used to posting on the dates ending in 7 that I forgot that it was changed this month because of it being such a short month.  I have a hidden pocket card to share with you today.  It was so much fun to make and I have to say I am pretty happy with the results.  I used the CottageCutz Vintage Vanity and Stool die.
The pocket is behind the image.

I made the bedroom scene and traced and cut the oval out for the mirror with my detail scissors.  I cut the vanity mirror frame 3 times and layered them on top of each other.  I did this so the table of the vanity would lay smoother over the "woodwork" and not have a bump.
This is the back of the pocket before adhering to the card base.

This is the card front with tag in pocket and below is a picture of the sentiment I stamped in the mirror window when the tag is removed.
And here is the final card.  I ended up cutting it down to fit a standard card base of 4 and 1/4 X 5 and 1/2.
If you have any questions please ask.  I love to help if I can.  Have a great day, and  I hope you enjoy the 2nd post of the day.

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Simply Amazing

Hello everyone and welcome to
CottageCutz Blog!

Simona here with my fourth post as a designer.

I really like CottageCutz Vintage Release dies. They are simply amazing!!!

To color my corset, fan and shoes I used Distress Inks -
dried marigold, spiced marmelade, antique linen,
tea dye and aged mahogany.
To cut the border I used MS punch.

For the corset I used some burgundy tulle fabric and glued it to the back of the corset with hot gun.
I folded it with my fingers as I went along.
I also added some white lace from my stash and some red eyelets.

Thank you for looking and wish you all a great start of the week!

Hugs,
Simona

CottageCutz Inspiration Day!

Hello everyone and Welcome To CottageCutz Inspiration Day!

While everyday is an Inspirational Day here at the CottageCutz blog with all our talented CottageCutz Designers, we have decided to do a couple of Inspiration Days a month. This will consist of 2 or more designers creations for you to view.

Today we have
Vladka
Simona
Cheryl

1st is Vladka's Beautiful Cards using CottageCutz Vintage Lamps & Hand Mirror w/Cameo
Inspirational day, such fun and I’m really glad that I can do this together with Simona and Cheryl. I decided to use some dies from Vintage release, which is so special and so darling. It brings you to Jane Austen time and everybody who knows me, knows how much I love and admire her work, indeed! So, this was my inspiration for my two cards. They say, that eyes are the mirror of our soul and this is the reason I put heart in my mirror. I think this is the great way to show your best friend how you admire her kindness and tenderness of her heart. Mirror is cut from this great Hand Mirror and Cameo die and heart is made with Angel Wings Mini die.

Always when I think about Jane Austen books, especially about her book Pride and Prejudice, I think about all the letters which they send it to each other. So, I made little old letter and put this beautiful romantic Vintage Lamp on it. For a 'wax seal' I used bigger flower of the Vintage Lamps die and put the small one on the top of the letter.

This is it for today! Have a nice day.

Vladka

Next we have Simona with her Beautiful card using CottageCutz Vintage Clock
Hello everyone and Welcome to CottageCutz Inspirational Day!
Today Vladka , I (Simona), & Cheryl are sharing new creations made with beautiful CottageCutz dies.

To make this card I chose Vintage Clock (4x4), Trellis w/ Vines (4x6)
and Love Tags, set (4x6) dies and Cottage Impressions Frame 1 Lettering Clear Stamps (4 items). I used Distress Ink - walnut stain to color my clock. The face of the clock was colored with Copics and I added and heat embossed some clear UTEE. Around the clock face I added gold self adhesive plastic half beads.

The vines were colored with Distress Ink - peeled paint and for the little flowers I used a red Copic marker.
It's been a long time since I've last used my sewing machine to add some stitches to the card. I also distressed paper edges with distress tool.

To finish the card I added one of the tags from Love Tags set, a red bow and a brad. I stamped the word XOXO from the Frame 1 Lettering clear stamps and heat embossed it.

Hugs, Simona

Next is Me(Cheryl) with my Card using CottageCutz Elegant Hat Box Die
My card  was designed for SCS Sketch Challenge, that is where I got this layout from. I wanted to use some bright and cheery colors, and chose to go with this bright blue. I airbrushed the hat box, and then colored the flowers, and leaves with copics. Next for the hat I colored it completely with copics. I did add some Viva Pearl Pen for the black and white.dots. The flower centers are flat back pearls.

I thought it would be cute to add the flowers to buttons, and did that on all four.

Thank you all for stopping by and hope you have enjoyed today's INSPIRATION! We will be back tomorrow for another INSPIRATION DAY! Hope you will come back and take a peek tomorrow!!!
Have a wonderful day!!!!
