Ornate Poinsettia

Hi everyone!

Today I have a  Christmas card for you using the Ornate Poinsettia CottageCutz Die from The Scrapping Cottage.

This is a fairly simple card to put together!  I used a red card base with a white mat that I partially embossed and added a little sentiment and some ribbon.  I cut the Ornate Poinsettia with the red and green card stock, trimmed the flowers from the red and glued them on top of the green.  I then just added some Buttercup Liquid Pearls, snowflake button and a bow with a button on top.

I hope this gives you a little inspiration for Christmas cards this year!

Rugged Baby Boy Clothes

Hi everyone!

Kathy here with you and today I have a cute little boy card for you using the Rugged Baby Boy Clothes CottageCutz Die!

I cut the jeans part of the die using a dark blue card stock and used a bright green plaid designer paper for the shirts.  I also cute the pocket and belt of the jeans with the green plaid, trimmed them and glued them to the jeans.  I love these two colors together against the white.  It's so cheery looking and cute for a boy!

The card base is the same dark blue as the jeans with a bright green mat and then a white mat that I embossed and stamped with a sentiment.  I embellished the card with some blue ribbon, baby rick rack, jute twine and heart buttons all in matching colors.

Baby Hippo

Happy Saturday!

It's time for me to share a little inspiration using a couple of the cute CottageCutz Dies from The Scrapping Cottage!  This time I'm using Baby Hippo from the new Baby Release and Round Mini Balloons Dies!

Isn't this little guy too cute?  I love the little teeth sticking out!  Here's a little close up for you!

The card base is made with Going Gray card stock.  The white mat was stamped with the sentiment, I then added the blue designer paper that was embossed with a folder to the top portion and then some repurposed ribbon across.  The Baby Hippo and balloons were cut using white, plum, and Going Gray card stocks and assembled together inking the edges of the hippo with Gray Flannel Ink.  I used a black marker and white gel pen for the eyes.  All the pieces were added using pop dots. I then added buttons and fiber bows.

Welcome Baby

Happy Tuesday!

Kathy here with you!  Today I have a “Welcome Baby” card for you using 2 new CottageCutz Dies from the Baby Release, Baby Lion and Baby Giraffe.

Aren't these little guys cute?  Here's a little close up of them.

I used various scraps of yellow, tan, gold and cream card stock to cut these and inked the edges with Creamy Cocoa Chalk Ink (PowderPuffs - Quick Quotes).  The eyes were colored with a black marker and dotted with a white gel pen.

To make my card, I started with a white card base.  I cut a yellow mat and stamped the sentiment on the bottom right corner, cut a smaller mat to fit the top using a plaid designer paper that I embossed with an embossing folder, then glued the mats together.  The baby animals were added using glue and pop dots under their heads.  I wrapped some trim across the mats and added it to the card base with pop dots.  I finished this off with adhesive pearls and a bow with a button.

Welcome

Happy Saturday!

Kathy here with you today and I have a “Welcome” card to show you using 3 CottageCutz Dies from The Scrapping Cottage, the Lamp Post w/SignGrass Border and Daisy Showers.

I started with a card base made from a caramel color card stock and red brick color mat both from DCWV Cardstock.  The designer paper for the background is from Mirabelle Stack (The Paper Studio).  I also used the designer papers (red) for the die cuts along with White, Soft Suede and caramel.  I used Banana Bliss, Mocha Mama PowderPuff Inks and Red Brick VersaMagic Ink to color and ink the edges of the die cuts.

After gluing all the pieces down, I embellished the flower centers and Lamp Post w/Sign with Bisque Liquid Pearls.  I then added a bow using Tobacco Seam Binding with a button and twine.  On the bottom of the Grass Border I added 3 pieces of Brown Micro Gingham that I tied in a knot, trimmed and added with Scor-tape.

Love You Much

Happy Sunday!

It's Kathy here with you today with a sweet love card using 2 beautiful dies from the Scrapping Cottage, Flourish Love Heart and Plumeria and Leaves.

The heart was cut with yellow card stock, glued to the white mat and them embossed with the Perfect Polka Embossing Folder.  I then add the leaves and flowers around the side of the heart.

The white mat was glued to a yellow mat with the sentiment stamped on the bottom.  This was then added to a Weathered Wood card base using pop dots.  I added trim, adhesive pearls, bow and button.

Starburst Notecard

Happy Monday!

Kathy here with you and today I have a little notecard and matching envelope to show you using leftover pieces from my last project, the Happy Anniversary Easel Card.  I've used the Starburst FlowerGreenery and Elegant Envelope CottageCutz Dies.

This is a super quick and easy project to put together for a pretty notecard to go with a gift.  The envelope was made using black card stock that I added the large Starburst Flower to using Le Creme designer paper and then just added a rhinestone flower to the center.  The notecard was made using more of the designer paper for the card base and flower and then black for the Greenery.  I finished it off with three little rhinestones on the bottom corner.

Baby Buggy

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Kathy with you and today I have a cute baby card for you using the Baby BuggyBest Wishes, and Fancy Floral Lace Border CottageCutz Dies from The Scraping Cottage.

To make my card, I started with a square 4 1/4" white card base and added a piece of Fancy Floral Lace Border cut with light green paper (Chick-a-doo from S.E.I) to the bottom.  I cut a light green mat (3 1/2" x 4 3/8") and an embossed white mat slightly smaller and glued them together.  I folded Baby Pink Seam Binding in half, wrapped it around the bottom of the mats and glued it in place.  I then added the mats to the card with pop dots just above the border.

The Best Wishes Die was cut with the light green paper and glued to the mat as pictured.  The Baby Buggy Die was cut with white, light green, and a flowered designer paper from Nana's Nursery - Baby Gift Paper from DCWV.  I shaded the white pieces of the buggy body with Pixie Dust VersaMagic Ink and  glued all the pieces together as shown using a mixture of the light green and flowered papers.  The buggy was added to the card with pop dots.  I added a larger flower to the buggy with Diamond Stickles in the center.  I made a triple loop bow and added a smaller flower with White Opal Liquid Pearls added to the center.
