SPRING FLOWER-DAISIES AND 3D EFFECT OF STAMPING

Hello dear friends!!

A warm welcome to the Cottage blog !!! I 'm Anita here with lovely spring daisies from the new stamp and die combo sets from CottageCutz. I'm having so much using them to create my projects. The stamps and dies are of superior quality . you can check out the entire range here

For my card today, I feature the spring flowers -Daisies and I have used this set to create a 3D scene along with die cuts. We can use similar themed dies to create a raised or popped up scene along with the matching stamp. CottageCutz has many foliage dies that combines so well with many flowers stamps and dies.

Here is my card.

To make this card, Cut die cuts from the CottageCutz Foliage die and CottageCutz Spring Greenery
set and colour with Distress inks. Emboss them a little on foam pad and arrange on a card panel 4" x 5.25" with silicon gel.

Stamp two images from CottageCutz Spring Flowers - Daisies -April and colour with water colour. Cut with coordinating die. Arrange on the card panel with silicon gel as shown to create a raised 3D image.

Stamp the bees and a sentiment. Adhere the card panel on two matte layers.

Cut a  Wide Rectangle Stitched frame diagonally and adhere at the two corners. Mount the finished panel on a card base that measures 5.75" x 4.5".

Happy Spring

Hi, Janja here!

Winter has not said its last word, but the sun is already showing its charm.
Today I share with you two cards with the spring flowers.

Supplies:
- CottageCutz set of stamps and dies: Daffodil Flower - March, Daisies Fower - April, Calendar Months, Pillow Box Plus (ladybugs), Fancy Pocket Plus (button), Stitched Square Set, Stitched Wide Square Frame Set,  Stitched Wide Rectangle Frame Set
- white and kraft card base: 5.3 x 5.3" (13,5 x 13,5 cm), folded
- patterned paper: 4.9 x 4.9" (12,5 x 12,5 cm)
- white cardstock: 4.3 x 4.3" (11 x 11 cm)
- patterned paper: 4.8 x 2.2" (12,1 x 5,6 cm)
- white and colored cardstock
- watercolor paper
- Distress ink: Antique Linen, Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint
- Memento ink: Desert Sand
- liquid pearls: buttercup
- string

Stamp flowers on watercolor paper and color them. Mine are colored with Distress inks.

When coloring is completed, shadow both backgrounds with Antique Linen Distress ink and stamp partly old letter writing.

Cut out the part of frame with a die. Color it with Distress inks.

Cut out March sign with calendar months die. Also, cut out a square frame from kraft cardstock, and another square of white cardstock.

Start by assembling the card. Add a white square on the card front. On the remainding card base add small buttercup dots.

Fix frame and tape, which is cut with scissors to the half.

When the card is completed, it seemed to me that something is missing. I added a button and a bow.

For another card I used a patterned paper.

Add a sentiment and cut out two ladybugs.

That's all for today. Thank you for coming over.

Flip Calendar - Part 2

Hi, Lois here again with the second part of my flip calendar.  Today’s post covers the months from January through August.

Supplies used for today’s post:

Copic markers
Ink – Distress Bundled Sage
Sponge dauber
Foam pop dots

I loved the Birthday Month flower stamp/die sets, but I didn’t necessarily want to have just flowers on my calendar pages.  There are several other stamp/die sets available as well – In the Kitchen, Garden Gnomes, Bee Sweet, Woodlands. as well as others.  I interspersed some of them throughout my calendar.

The January, February, May and August pages were made with the non-flower sets, while the March, April, June and July pages used the appropriate flower for the month.  I stamped, colored and die-cut the images for each month.

After I put the die-cut images onto the white panels, I realized that they needed to be “anchored” by something.  So I die-cut a strip of grass, using the Spring Grass die.  I cut 12 of these strips of grass, one for each page.  This also added continuity throughout the calendar.  This photo was taken before I sponged a bit of darker green around the edges.

I glued the grass strips along the bottom of the white panels and then built my scenes.  I chose which of the icons I wanted for each month and applied them on the appropriate dates.

My next post will show the remaining four calendar pages as well as directions for the calendar base.
