Birthday Clown

Hello Friends

Today,  I am continuing to make my 2021 cards.  And I wanted to do a shaker so I decided to use the happy little clown with the handful of balloons to create a fun birthday card.

Design Steps:
1.  Use a white A2 card base cut a piece of white card stock 4 x 5 1/4 and then use the second from the largest Scallop Circle die to cut out the opening for the shaker.  After cutting out the hole run it through a star embossing folder.  Line the hole with double sided tape and then place a 4 x 4 piece of acetate on the tape
2.  Circle the hole with double sided foam tape add the sequins and little stars.  Add additional foam around the bottom of the card also
3.  Cut another piece of white card stock 4 x 5 /4 and place it directly over the piece with the shaker window and then mount it to the card base
4.  Use the Clown with the Balloons die and cut out the pieces in red, blue, green, yellow, tan, white and orange card stock
5.  Using a fine tip glue and tweezers assemble the little clown with his balloons
5.  Using Happy Birthday Expressions cut out Happy Birthday twice and glue together.  Then adhere the sentiment to the front of the card
6.  Pop up the clown to the card front and the Birthday card is complete

Princess Cake

Happy Saturday!

It is Pam sharing with you on the blog today.  Mary and I just switched places for the week.  So her post will be on Thursday.

I have another birthday card for you today.  I am using one of the dies from our new whimsical release called Princess Cake!

Designer Steps:

 1.  Cut out all of the pieces in white card stock using the Princess Cake die
 2.  Use your favorite makers to color the cake pieces.  I used my Copic Markers

 3.  Assemble the card
 4.  Cut out the oval shape using white card stock and the Nested Stitched Eyelet Oval die.  Pop the cake to the oval
 5.  Using silver glitter card stock and the Princess Cake die cut out the crown and the little circle embellishment.  Glue them to the card as shown
6.  Cut out the Happy Birthday using pink and purple DP and the Happy Birthday die
7.  You can cut out the large scallop easel card using your Circuit or a large 5 inch scallop die.  I used 2 different types of coordinating DP for the background both inside and out.

Birthday Cupcake!

Good Morning Scrapping Cottage Friends!

We have a  Mother's Day Release available in the online store now.  There are 22 fantastic dies!  These dies are so adorable and can be used for other occasions so don't miss out!  Today, I am using the cupcake for a birthday card!
Design Steps:
 1. Using the Mother's Day Cupcake die cut all of the pieces of the cupcake out using pink, green, white and yellow card stock
 2.  Assemble the cupcake as shown above, I colored the heart and small flowers with my markers
 3.  Use an A2 card base, cut a 4 1/8 x 5 1/4 piece of white card stock and run it through the swiss dot embossing folder, cut a piece of striped DP 3 x 5, cut a strip of pink card stock 1/8 x 5 and a piece of dotted DP 1/4 x 5
 4.  Using the Scalloped 2 1/2 inch circle die cut a circle on the striped DP 1 inch from the top.  Glue the 2 strips to the embossed white card stock as shown
 5.  Glue the DP with the scalloped circle cut out to the embossed card stock as shown
 6.  Using foam tape pop the cupcake to the center of the circle
7.  Using white foam sheets that have adhesive on the back run it through the machine using the Expressions Happy Birthday die.  Adhere the Happy Birthday to the front panel just below the cupcake.  Then glue the embossed panel to the card front

Rub-A-Dub-Dub Birthday!

Hello all! I hope the week is treating you well so far. It's back to school time and I'm sure many of you sent your students off to start a new year like I did yesterday. Time flies alarmingly fast!

For your viewing pleasure today, I'm taking a little break from the wedding theme to bring you a birthday card for a little one in your life. It features the Bathtub Time die that that was part of the baby release this spring. This die has ten individual elements you can use to create a large variety of scenes. It's a great die to play around with and easy to construct. There are enough pieces to decorate both the front and the inside of a card like I did on this one.

I also used the Stitched Oval Set to create the frame on the front and the mat inside the card. The Happy and Birthday Expression dies were used for the sentiment inside.

To learn how this card came together, please click on the YouTube thumbnail below. If you are a fan of embossing or want to some additional ideas on combining embossing techniques, I think you'll enjoy this one.

Thanks for spending a few minutes with me today. I'll be back tomorrow with another video.
